Teen Encounter is blessed to have a new Music Ministry Adult Advisor, and he’s going to be a wonderful addition to our community. I thought it would be good to ask him a few questions to get to know him a little better. Welcome Joe!

What’s your favorite Christian band?
Relient K, Third Day, and Any Given Day (I hate picking just one)
Do you have a favorite scripture reading?
Matthew 22:37-39 Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the LORD your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.
What’s your favorite thing about Teen Encounter?
I am really energized by the passion of the community.
How long were you on music ministry back in the day?
I think about 3-4 years or so.
What are you looking forward to MOST about your new role in the Music Ministry?
Learning new songs with the mm, and praising Jesus with the rest of the community.
You have a little girl, does she play guitar yet?
Valerie doesn’t play the guitar… she plays the “tar”, which is how she calls it. Her favorite thing to do is to drop the pick in the sound hole. She is a character.
McDonald’s or Burger King?
BK Whopper or bust! (McDonalds fries are the best though).
Could you beat Fr. Larry in a game of one on one?
I couldn’t beat him when I was in the OHPC as a teen… I surely can’t beat him now! Unless it was NBA Jamz or something.
What’s your favorite Saint?
Saint Lucy. She is sort of a family Saint of ours. She is the first name that pops up when I am looking for a little help.
So there you have it. Joe will be busting out some tunes this on Thursday nights, and of course he’ll be around this weekend.
