But you, Israel, my servant, Jacob, whom I have chosen, the offspring of Abraham, my friend; you whom I took from the ends of the earth, and called from its farthest corners, saying to you, “You are my servant, I have chosen you and not cast you off”; fear not, I am with you, be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my victorious right hand (Isaiah 9:8-10).
I have said this to you, yet I am not alone, for the Father is with me. I have said this to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you have tribulation , but be of good cheer, I have over come the world (John 16:33).
God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1).
Hence I remind you to rekindle the gift of God that is within you through the laying on of my hands; for God did not give us a spirit of timidity but a spirit of power and love and self-control. (2 Timothy 1:7).
Cast your burden on the LORD, and will defend you; he never lets honest men be defeated (Psalm 55:22).
